Doubt. We all have it. All of us. I know when you look through your social media feed, it looks like everyone is living their best lives. Today I had a conversation with a friend that also happens to be a bestselling author. When we met online over 12 years ago we were basically pen pals. We would go back and forth on email talking about our dreams. His dream was to write a book and once he finished writing it he sent it to me for review. Well 12 years later and he’s written over 20 books. Our conversation today was about me and writing. I want to be a writer and a speaker. I want to take all of the crazy experiences I’ve had as an entrepreneur and share my lessons with the world. The author already knows this about me and has heard me go on and on about it for years. Today he asked me a question. “Brandice, What’s the Block?” I really had to think about it because I didn’t know the answer right off and then I decided to be honest.
“I have doubt. Is my writing good enough?” That’s it. It’s out there and I’ve said it. He immediately suggested a book to me which I’m about to listen to right after this post. The name of the book is the The War of Art by Steven Pressfield. So, I will keep you posted on this book.
So, if you remember I did a 21 day YouTube Challenge in Nov/Dec. Now, I’m about to do another challenge. I am challenging myself to write 2 hours a day 5 days a week. I must schedule it so that nothing changes. The only way to push past doubt is to just jump in there with all of your fear. This post is the way I’m doing something about my doubt today. What can you do? What has doubt been holding you back from? What did you say you would do, but haven’t done? We all need to take an action that opposes doubt. That’s the only way to move forward.
I’m so excited to share my journey with you all. I feel super connected to you and I hope that you enjoy the posts. My goal is to be 100% honest and vulnerable with you.
Have an amazing weekend!
